I am sitting tonight doing some rare evening work with my MacBook Pro in my lap (99% of the time I’m plugged into a display at my desk), and I notice that the Mac is roughly the width of my lap. I am the average size of an American adult male. Is this how the 16” size came to be “the standard”?
